Our Chinese New Year parade was this morning (and yes, it rained on our parade). We worked very hard for two whole weeks on our dragon, but we sure turned heads! The whole school participates, each class doing a different "craft". Parents marched with us as we wound our way thru the school and the church and then across the street to Himmel Library. The library was great, because people came in off the street and from the park, to come in and watch our parade. And when we left, they all clapped and it was so cute, the kids were beaming. One little boy who was watching us looked kinda scared, and one of my kids told him "don't worry. It's not a real dragon, it's just a box." Priceless. The kids had a blast, but they were happy to get out from under the dragon- they were all sweating from being under that thing!

That is so amazing! I had no idea your work was that detailed on the dragon. How I wish my kids would have had such a good teacher when they were starting their scholastic journey. Well done daughter. Love, your fake mommy
