I couldn't figure out what to put as my weight this week. When I first weighed myself this morning, I was at 160 lbs. Then once at 160.2 and finally at 160.8 lbs - I think it might be a little bit inflated, but that might work well for my motivation.

This week was pretty good, considering the circumstances. Windy weather and a lack of desire for heat stroke kept me off the bike for a good portion of this week, though I did manage to get about 30 miles in. A Sunday morning ride at Saguaro National Park East helped alleviate the guilt I might have felt later in the day for burgers, beers and desserts at our 4th of July BBQ.

Overall, I feel great. My favorite thing about weight loss (aside from getting healthier) is the small differences in my daily life that help me enjoy it more. Rather than feel awful after a long day of work, my body recovers faster and I feel better. I have a more relaxed attitude, which helps with my anxiety. I want to spend more time with family and friends instead of hiding in my house like a hermit. But overall, I feel like I'm doing a good thing - not just for myself, but for my son and wife who want me to stick around for a long, long time.

1.0 lbs lost, 30 miles biked, 6.75 miles walked - time to break that 160-lb barrier.
